- Book online or via WhatsApp/email
- No deposit required
- Debit and credit cards accepted
- Additional charges (fuel, fines, kilometres) are settled via secure payment link
- Full payment is required before collection
Cancellations
Your cancellation fees depend on when you cancel:
- More than 7 days before → 25% fee
- More than 3 days before → 50% fee
- More than 24 hours before → 75% fee
- On the day of pickup → No refund
Refunds are processed within 14 days (bank processing times may vary).
Driver Requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence held for at least 1 year
- Foreign licences accepted if:
- In English → shows a photo/ID number + has a signature
- If not in English → international licence + passport required
- Main driver must present their own credit or debit card
Travel Restrictions
- Driving is allowed only within the Western Cape
- Maximum radius approx. 500 km from Cape Town
- Leaving the province invalidates insurance
Vehicle Use
To keep you safe and protect our cars:
Prohibited use includes:
- Off-road routes not classified as standard public roads
- 4x4 trails, dunes, rocky tracks or water crossings
- Reckless or negligent driving
- Driving under the influence
- Towing anything
- Smoking in the vehicle
- Transporting pets without prior permission
Violations may incur cleaning, repair or penalty fees.
Fuel Policy
- All vehicles are delivered full
- Must be returned full
- Short-fill will result in: Fuel cost + R100 fuel admin fee
Late Returns
- 30-minute grace period
- After 30 minutes → charged for an additional full day
- Please contact us if delayed - we’re flexible where possible
Accidents & Reporting
To ensure your insurance remains valid:
You must:
- Notify Jimmy’s within 3 hours
- Get a SAPS case number within 24 hours
- Visit a Jimmy’s branch within 24 hours with all details
- Never admit fault or negotiate with third parties
Breakdowns
Call us immediately - don’t accept help from unapproved tow trucks. We’ll coordinate everything.

Additional Charges
You may incur charges for:
- Excess kilometres (R12.75/km)
- Fuel short-fill (fuel cost + R100 admin fee)
- Traffic fines (fine + R100 admin fee)
- Excess (max R6,000)
- Cleaning (only if excessive)
- Lost keys
- Damage caused by misuse or prohibited driving
Early Returns & Extensions
- No refunds for unused days
- Extensions subject to availability

Legal Terms
- This agreement is governed by South African law
- Disputes handled in the Magistrates or High Court at Jimmy’s discretion
- The renter is liable for all losses, penalties and costs incurred during the rental period
