Where you can go from here

Sea Point is a genuinely good launch point. Turn left and you are on the coast road to Clifton, Camps Bay and Hout Bay within minutes. Turn right and you are heading for the Winelands or the West Coast.

Day trips

  • The Cape Peninsula loop — Chapman’s Peak, Cape Point and the penguins at Boulders, comfortably in a day
  • The Winelands — Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are about 45 minutes inland
  • Hermanus and the Whale Coast — roughly 90 minutes along the coast

Going further

  • The Garden Route — our cars travel as far as Storms River, which is the edge of the Western Cape
  • The West Coast — Langebaan and the flower season, about an hour up the R27
  • Gravel and dirt roads are fine. 4x4 trails, dunes and riverbeds are not

Four seats, two body styles. If you are five people, or four adults with large suitcases, we are honestly not the right fit — and we would rather say so now.
